BIOGRAPHY


Claudia Rohrbach studied voice at the Richard-Strauss-Conservatory in Munich. She was awarded a scholarship by the German Stage Association in 1994 and received a First Prize from the Gasteig Cultural Circle.

She started her career in 1995 at the Vogtland-Theater in Plauen and moved from there to Lucerne Opera in 1996.

She has been a member of the ensemble at the Cologne Opera since the Fall of 1998; guest contract at the Opera Bonn, the Festival Eutin and with the Bregenz Festival 2005.

She worked with conductors: Markus Stenz, Jonathan Nott, Friedrich Haider, Sir Neville Mariner and with stagedirectors: Günther Krämer, Christoh Loy, Helmuth Lohner, Alfred Kirchner and Martin Duncan.

In addition to her work in opera, the young artist has a successful concert career, appearing in such concert halls as the Tonhalle in Zürich, the Munich Philharmonic at Gasteig, the Konzerthaus in Berlin and the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn.
